Sydney named as venue for September Tie v Slovakia

Tennis Australia has announced that the Davis Cup World Group Qualifying Tie will be played at The Ken Rosewall Arena, Homebush Stadium in Sydney from 16-18 September 2016.   A purpose built grass court will be installed in the arena for the tie.

Members wishing to travel to Sydney for the tie are advised to contact Bentleigh Travel asap who have secured accommodation at the Pullman Olympic Park Hotel for the Foundation.  It is planned to hold a Davis Cup Dinner on the Saturday night of the tie.

    Australia was victorious in its first round World Group Davis Cup tie v the Czech Republic at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club from February 3-5.   We now play the USA in Australia in the quarter finals from April 7-9.  The venue will be announced by Tennis Australia shortly.

  • Davis Cup 2017 Draw announced

    The ITF has released the draw for the 2017 Davis Cup.  Australia is scheduled to meet the Czech Republic (seeded 3) at home in Australia from 3-5 February 2017.  The winner will go on to play the winner of the USA v Switzerland match. The draw may be found here.
